Inertia Bases

The Inertia Bases made by Fan Systems are manufactured from steel to form a fully welded structural steel pouring frame that can be used with any of the standard range of enclosed metal isolators and spring isolators. The frame is reinforced by means of a solid metal base and a steel mesh welded in position across the frame, and together with a concrete infill (having a mass of between 1750 and 2400Kg / M3), provides a more effective solution for controlling levels of vibration.

Steel outriggers are welded onto the side of the Inertia Base in order to distribute a load equally, and as standard, a finished base is given a pewter hammer coat. Other finishes are available upon request.

The Inertia Base is designed to be supported on Open Spring or Enclosed Metal Isolators, and in particular, to isolate fans that run below 800 rpm.
